HEALTH: Hit the BEACH or POOL! Being near WATER is good for your health!

I don't know about you, but the times I've been at my healthiest... most fit, most mentally stress-free... most at peace and in the moment... have come when I've been near the water. From living in Tampa, to being at my family's home in Corpus Christi, on a cruise or hanging at the pool where I live, being near the water just does something pretty amazing for me. 

Reading this, it all makes sense, so I wanted to share... 

How many times have you lost track of your mind while staring out into the ocean? Cheeks in the sand, glass in your hand, there’s nothing better than a day at the beach – and your body knows it, too. Dr. Wallace Nichols is a biologist who says that there are good reasons for why we experience this type of peace when we’re by the ocean. Water makes up most of the earth AND most of our bodies. It’s like being with a familiar face. Even just seeing water can send your body into a tizzy of joy. It actually increases blood flow to the brain and heart which can reduce stress and make you feel more relaxed.
