Woman Hit With Speeding Ticket When Car Was On Back Of Truck

Getting a speeding ticket sucks. Do you know what sucks more? When you get a ticket for a car that was clocked speeding…while it was being towed. Cleveland’s Joann Gibson was shocked when she received a $105 ticket in the mail from the city. Especially since the photo of the “speeding” vehicle included with the ticket clearly showed that it was being transported on the back of a flatbed truck when it was being taken to a mechanic. After receiving two tickets, Gibson went to the local police for help but was directed to a third-party vendor they say oversees the ticketing program. As of now, the situation remains unresolved while government officials seemingly do nothing but pass the buck and bat the issue around, and Gibson is concerned about the effects the ticket could have on her driving record and insurance rates.
