Disney World Will Allow All Guests To Wear Costumes For The First Time Ever

Big changes are coming to Walt Disney World this fall. While Disneyland in California remains closed due to the ongoing pandemic, the Florida-based Disney parks are preparing to celebrate Halloween. Despite still being able to celebrate spooky season, the holiday will look a little different at the parks this year.

Unfortunately, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party events have been cancelled for pandemic-related safety reasons. Even though the special ticketed- event won't be taking place this year, the Magic Kingdom will still put up the Halloween decorations and roll out fall treats to its menus from September 15 to October 31. For the first time ever, guests of all ages, including adults, can wear their Halloween costumes in the park during regular operating hours.

As most Disney fans know, guests ages 14 and up are not allowed to wear costumes while visiting Disney theme parks. This year, though, guests of all ages can dress up as their favorite Disney characters between Sept. 15 through Halloween.

One important note about dressing up for Halloween is that costume masks are not permitted for guests ages 14 years or older. Approvved masks and face coverings are still required for health and safety reasons at all Disney theme parks.
