Adele Readying 'Upbeat' Breakup Single About Soon-To-Be-Ex-Husband

Word of new Adele music is growing and details of the pop titan's upcoming single have reportedly surfaced, courtesy of The Sun.

The singer, 31, just filed for divorce from her soon-to-be-ex-husband, Simon Knocki, and her comeback track is said to reflect the dissolution of their marriage, but from a positive perspective. According to the UK tabloid, Adele's upcoming musical offering will be an upbeat song about her relationship with Knocki. "But it’s optimistic, reflective of the good times and about learning to move on from them and make new memories by yourself," an insider told the outlet. "It has been cathartic for her to put her feelings into her music. Fans can expect to hear personal details on her album. All being well, the song should be out in November but she is still working on everything."

Adele filed for divorce from her estranged husband last week. The filing comes after the pair of more than seven years, who tied the knot in 2016, announced their separation almost five months ago. Adele and Simon share six-year-old son, Angelo Adkins.

Earlier this month, PEOPLE reported on the new music front for Adele, admitting that her new tunes have helped her navigate through her recent trials. "She is definitely getting ready both mentally and physically to promote new music. It seems it will happen later this year," the source continued. "She talks about last year as a very difficult year, and she's said in the past that creating new music is almost like therapy. You can tell that she is ready to share with her fans."
