Chrissy Teigen & John Legend Donate $288,000 To ACLU For Trump's Birthday

Chrissy Teigen is celebrating Donald Trump's 72nd birthday in an unconventional way by having each member of her family donate $72,000 to the ACLU in honor of POTUS' big day.

On Thursday (June 14), the cookbook author took to Twitter to make the big announcement via a letter from all members of her family, including herself, John Legend, Luna, and Miles. "John and I are outraged to see and hear the horror stories of immigrant families seeking asylum and refuge in America being ripped apart due to the inhumane policies of the Trump administration," she kicked off the lengthy note. "These actions are cruel, anti-family and go against everything we believe this country should represent."

Teigen went on to explain that the ACLU is committed to defending the rights and humanity of these vulnerable families. They're also fighting for immigrants' rants, advocating for reproductive rights, voting rights, criminal justice reform, LGBT rights, 1st amendment rights and more.

"On this auspicious occasion, in order to Make Trump's Birthday Great Again, each member of our family has donated $72,000 to the ACLU," she continued. That brings their total donation sum for the non-profit up to $288,000. Scroll on below to read the letter in full.
